 Off season Outlook

The Texans are above .500 for the first time in franchise history and will be looking to build off of that in 2010 to finally reach the post season. The Texans were awful at running the ball last year. Georgia Tech’s Jonathan Dwyer is a power back that they can team with Steve Slaton and create a dominant one-two punch of thunder and lightning. However, picking Dwyer with the number twenty pick is a bit of a reach. The Texans will most likely try to address one of their defensive needs, either at defensive tackle or in the secondary.

1ST round, pick #19-20

Earl Thomas                   FS                Texas

  2. Definetly needs some type of running game in the 2010 season. By either improving their offencive line or putting a hard running, running back. Either way I still believe that the Houston Texans will make the playoffs next season.

  3. I think my Texans should go with FS Taylor Mays from USC. A Ronnie Lot type S that will knock your socks off. We need a fearsome guy roaming the back end of that young D helping out our corners with power hits and spectacular plays. We have a beast on the line (Mario), two beast in the middle (Cushing & Ryans) Taylor Mays 6′3 240lbs. frame along with a 4.3-4.4 40 speed gives us a bigger Troy polomalu roaming the back feild. I think he will scare opposing wide receivers who knows he’s back there lurkin and this play will give our corners needed assurance to bolster their play also. Earl thomas is too small. Berry is gonna be gone. Please Mr. Smith pick Taylor Mays and watch the Texans rise to another level on Defense!
