Off season Outlook

The Patriots have some decisions to make in the off-season, with 7 starters being impending unrestricted free agents. Most of them should re-sign, but they still have some holes to fill. Most of their concerns should come from their receivers and their linebacking corps. Randy Moss is still the man, but Wes Welker is unlikely to be ready for the start of the season. Julian Edelman is still a developing player so look for the Patriots to target a receiver in the round one. A linebacker could also be brought in, considering the Patriots have a non-existant pass rush.

Team Needs: OLB, DE, ILB, WR

Potential Pick:

Round one, pick #21-24

Brandon Spikes                    ILB                Florida

Sergio Kindle                    OLB                 Texas

CB: Terrance Newman (re-sign)

CB: Mike Jenkins

SS: Ken Hamlin

FS: Gerald Sensabaugh

Off-season Outlook

The offensive line is aging a little bit and a future left tackle definitely wouldn’t hurt. If an inside linebacker like Brandon Spikes were to fall into their laps, don’t think Jerry Jones would hesitate to pull the trigger on another defensive playmaker like that.

Team Needs: ILB, OT, DE

Potential Pick:

1st round, pick #25-32

Trent Williams                     RT              Oklahoma

Bryan Bulaga                      LT              Iowa

CB: DeAngelo Hall

SS: Reed Doughty

FS: Laron Landry

Off-season Outlook

With Mike Shannahan taking over the Redskins, you have to believe he wants to bring in his own QB. With that being said, the offensive line needs to be improved. Drafting an offensive lineman and giving Jason Campbell another shot could be what ends up happening. Another scenario would be taking a QB at #4 and then trading back into the 1st for a LT. There is also a plan to switch to the 3-4 defense, so bringing in 3-4 personnel later in the draft is a must.

Team Needs: LT, QB, S

Potential pick:

1st round, pick #4

Sam Bradford                 QB             Oklahoma

Jimmy Clausen             QB             Notre Dame

Anthony Davis              LT             Rutgers

Russell Okung                 LT              Oklahoma State

New York Giants

Projected Starters:

Offense

QB: Eli Manning

RB: Brandon Jacobs

FB: Madison Hedgecock

WR: Steve Smith

WR: Hakeem Nicks

TE: Kevin Boss

LT: David Diehl

LG: Rich Seubert (re-sign)

C: Shaun O’Hara

RG: Chriss Snee (re-sign)

DT: Chris Canty

DT: Rocky Bernard

OLB: Danny Clark

OLB: Michael Boley

MLB: Antonio Pierce

CB: Aaron Ross

CB: Corey Webster

SS: Michael Johnson

FS: Kenny Phillips

 Off season Outlook

The Giants are another team that falls into the category of needing a corner, but just missing out on Joe Haden. The secondary was inconsistent last year and some of the blame can be put on their inconsistent pass rush. The Giants can go with a defensive end here to replace the likely-to-be-traded Osi Umienora, or they can get a safety to pair with Kenny Phillips. There should also be great DT value for them and an outside chance of ILB Rolando McClain slipping to them.

Team Needs: MLB, DT, S, DE

 Possible Pick:

1st round, pick #15

Taylor Mays                             SS           USC/ Earl Thomas              FS      Texas

Everson Griffen                      DE           USC

Dan Williams                            DT           Tennessee

Baltimore Ravens

Projected Starters:

Offense

QB: Joe Flacco

RB: Ray Rice

FB: LeRon McClain

LT: Jared Gaither

LG: Ben Grubbs

C: Matt Birk

RG: Marshall Yanda (re-sign)

RT: Michael Oher

TE:  Todd Heap

WR:  Mark Clayton

WR:  Derrick Mason

Defense

DE: Dwan Edwards

DT:  Haloti Ngata

NT: Kelly Gregg

OLB: Terrell Suggs

OLB: Jarrett Johnson

ILB:   Tavares Gooden

ILB:  Ray Lewis

CB:  Chris Carr

CB:  Dominique Foxworth

SS:   Dawan Landry

FS: Ed Reed

 Off-season Outlook

The Ravens could really use an upgrade at CB, but they are picking near the end of round one and there is no one there of value. They should then look to get Flacco some more targets; a WR like Arrelious Benn or Damian Williams or TE Jermaine Gresham would be a fine pick.

Team Needs:  CB, WR, TE

Potential picks:

1st round, pick # 25-32

Arrelious Benn            WR    Illinois

Golden Tate                 WR    Notre Dame

Jermaine Gresham        TE     Oklahoma
