QB Jevan Snead Scouting Report
Jevan Snead 6′3 215 Ole Miss Junior
vs. South Carolina 2009
Stats: 7/21 107 yds 1 td 0 int
Game Analysis: Ugh, what an awful game for Snead on a primetime stage. While he has moments of brilliance, he had mostly moments of crappiness on this night. He has impressive mobility but his decision making and accuracy was awful. He frequently threw into double coverage and threw most of his passes too high (he had a completion percentage of 33%!!). He made some throws that make you just shake your head because the WR is in no way open yet he still throws it. Snead is way too inconsistent right now and I am lowering him in my rankings and taking him out of my mock because I feel he needs to come back next year and rededicate himself.
vs Memphis 2009
Stats: 12/22 175 yds 2 tds 2 ints
Game Analysis: Snead started off very poorly by being inaccurate; he was high on his early throws, one which turned into an int, and he forced some throws, one which also led to an int. He completed a ton of short passes to McCluster which turned into 10 yd gains. He had a really nice 20 yd strike while on the run in the 3rd quarter which really showed off his great arm. In the 4th, he threw an out route that should have been a 3rd int but the CB dropped it. The 2 tds were both late in the game, both on throws down the middle. It was not a very good start for Snead, but he has the whole season to show that he can become a NFL caliber QB.
